We aim to make the website clear, readable, keyboard-friendly, and usable on phones, tablets, and computers.
Design choices
- Readable fonts, clear spacing, and simple instructions.
- Strong color contrast where possible and visual feedback for worksheet answers.
- Mobile-friendly layouts for small screens.
- Plain-language explanations and kid-friendly wording.
- Spanish support and ELL help where available.
- Wormy AI support for questions about worksheets, reading, vocabulary, spelling, and writing.
Assistive technology
We try to use standard HTML, labels, headings, buttons, and readable content so the site can work better with screen readers, browser zoom, keyboard navigation, and other assistive tools.
Known limitations
Some interactive worksheet features, AI responses, images, or embedded tools may not be perfect for every assistive technology setup. We are still improving the site and appreciate reports about accessibility barriers.
How to report an accessibility issue
If a page, worksheet, button, form, color, instruction, or Wormy AI response is hard to use, please use the bug report form or email beginnerbookworms@gmail.com. Include the page, device, browser, and a short description of the issue if possible.
Ongoing improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing process. Beginner Bookworms will continue improving clarity, navigation, mobile usability, reading support, and compatibility with assistive tools over time.
