Beginner Bookworms is led by Jacob Babula, who created Wormy and the digital tools that support this literacy platform.
The mission is simple: help young readers build stronger literacy skills, improve reading confidence, and support cognitive growth through accessible books, interactive worksheets, and encouraging help.

About Jacob
Jacob Babula founded Beginner Bookworms to help more children gain access to books and welcoming reading support. He also created Wormy and the site’s free learning tools.
What we do
Children learn best when they have both the materials to begin and people who believe they can keep going.
We supply age-appropriate books and essential reading resources to children whose homes, classrooms, or communities have limited access to them.
Reading builds vocabulary, comprehension, creativity, confidence, and imagination. Our tools and community work help children experience reading as something joyful.
We work with teachers and community leaders to distribute books where they are needed and strengthen the larger support system around young readers.
